Swindell & Pearson Ltd have again sponsored the Lord Stafford Awards this year. The Lord Stafford Awards were developed in 1997 to recognise and encourage the development of collaborative relationships between Businesses and Universities.
The four categories of award are: Innovation in Development, Innovation achieved, Innovation for Environmental Sustainability and Open Collaboration. Swindell & Pearson Ltd have been a sponsor of the awards for a number of years. Phil Mulchinock Practice Director of Swindell & Pearson Ltd has acted as one of the judges for the Lord Stafford Awards 2011. The 13 finalists were all visited by the panel of judges over two days to further investigate and appraise their entries. The awards culminate in a celebratory black tie evening dinner in the Great Hall in the Aston Webb building at the University of Birmingham during November. Phil commented "It has been a revelation to see future technologies being developed close to home. The standard of finalists is very high and there are some extraordinary projects.
